中世より代々続く梅若家に生まれ、初舞台3歳より舞台活動を始める。
関西を中心に東京、名古屋、福岡など日本各地での公演に参加。
また海外公演にも多数参加し、パリ公演。イタリア・ミラノ薪能。スイス公演。クロアチア・ヨーロッパ演劇祭参加。
Born into the Umewaka family, which has been in existence for generations since the Middle Ages, he began his stage career at the age of 3 when he first performed on stage.
He has participated in many performances in Kansai, Tokyo, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and other places in Japan.
He has also participated in many overseas performances, including a performance in Paris. Performances in Paris, Milan, Italy. Performed in Switzerland. Participated in the European Theater Festival in Croatia.

2017年 12月兵庫県西宮市に「西宮能楽堂」を開館。

他の古典邦楽や現代演劇、様々な音楽とのコラボレーションも積極的に模索し、日本の伝統芸能としてだけでなく、世界に 通じる演劇としての評価も高めていきたいと考える。
We will actively seek collaborations with other classical Japanese music, contemporary theater, and various types of music to enhance its reputation not only as a traditional Japanese performing art, but also as a form of theater that can be understood around the world.
2014年 ロサンゼルス公演にて、アメリカのメイフラワー号の奇跡を題材にした新曲「五月花」を作成し演能して、「ロサ ンゼルス名誉市民」を拝受。
2014 Received “Honorary Citizen of Los Angeles” for creating and performing a new piece, “Mayflower,” based on the miracle of the U.S.S. Mayflower, at the Los Angeles Tour.
